Comet C/2004 Q4 Machholz
The stars have been removed from this image by using a "minimum"
combine. Since the telescope was tracking the comet and not the stars, and
since each exposure was separated by 45s, and since each exposure was
registered on the comet, the stars moved in between exposures. The minimum
combine method mostly removed them (some remnants are still visible,
though).
